By far the most business benefit – one of the top requests I get on a daily basis. This tool is perfect to resolve that!!

This is a great product for managing column and view permissions. It was easy to use and install. Pretty self explanatory and has some great hidden features like "conditions"

Restrict Access to Columns of Metadata
Hide columns or make columns read-only so that unauthorized users will not see or edit sensitive data in a list. You can also hide columns in Alert Me emails, in datasheet view, or in the version history, minimizing the risk of exposing sensitive data.
Restrict Access to Protected Views
By setting permission for each view in a SharePoint list, you can ensure that your confidential information is accessible only to those whom you have granted access. When a view is set as hidden or read-only, users will not have access to or be able to modify any views unless you specifically grant them permission.
Assign Column Permission Based On Roles
Besides assigning column permissions to users, groups or user columns (such as Assign To), you can also create rules based on users roles to determine who can access columns, such as only allowing Managers to modify the content of columns, ensuring the right people can access the right information.
Assign Permissions Dynamically Via Conditions
With conditions, you can determine whether and when columns should be visible, read-only or hidden, or which columns should be accessed by whom. This is very useful when your organization stores sensitive content alongside non-sensitive content.
Disable Ribbon Buttons
You can prevent specified users from accessing certain SharePoint functions by disabling ribbon buttons in a list or library; including Datasheet View, RSS Feed, Export to Excel, and Open with Explorer and more.
Restrict Users to Create Views
In SharePoint, users can create personal or public views if they have proper permissions. View permission allows you to control the “Create View” function and disable it without any permission changes so that the specified users cannot create view in list.
Set Default View for different User
Out-of-the-box SharePoint only allows for one default view to be specified for all users in list or library. View permission allows you to specify a default view for each user, which can lead users to their desired view quickly and easily.
Manage Column Permissions in a Centralized Location
Access and manage all column permission parts from one central location without entering each list or library individually. Additional preview and export/import functions accelerate the permission parts management; you can quickly understand and setup column permissions with these features.
Extra Protection against Access from Web Services
In an organization, users may use applications to pull data from SharePoint via web services. Column permission provides access limitations on web services methods (Lists, Site Data and Views), thus safeguarding against unauthorized users viewing or editing data.
Compatible with Other Apps
With the published API (Application Programming Interface) in column permission, you can integrate your app with column permission. This will control column access using column permission features, and prevent exposing sensitive data when users connect SharePoint data via the application.
Assign View Permission Based On Roles
You can assign view permissions to users, SharePoint groups and domain groups. You can also create a rule based on a user’s role to determine who can access views, such as only allowing Managers to access the view which contains additional information.
