What permissions should I have to configure AD Self Service settings?
Solution:
There are different permissions required for this product:
Settings in Central Administration : you must be a member of farm administrators group
Web part – AD Self Service settings: you must be a site collection administrator
Web part – default settings: same permission as SharePoint
Applies for: SharePoint 2013, SharePoint 2010, SharePoint 2007
