​An error message occur when resetting password via email address:

"Failed to send confirmation link, please contact the administrator" 


​Troubleshooting for this issue:

  1. Please make sure that the SMTP settings of Password Reset (not Password Change) has been configured correctly in the settings page. Because the product support only customized SMTP settings but not the SharePoint one.
  2. In Custom SMTP settings, selected ‘Default authentication’ type which is the windows authentication method. Change it to ‘Custom authentication’ may solve the issue.
