BoostSolutions releases SharePoint AD Self Service - a helpful tool for users to modify personal Active Directory data freely without the intervention of administrator.
BEIJING, CHINA, February 27, 2009 - BoostSolutions announces " SharePoint AD Self Service", makes it possible for users to change personal Active Directory information on a SharePoint page.
SharePoint AD Self Service allows current login user to view and modify his/her own Active Directory information on a SharePoint active directory web part of SharePoint web page. The administrator can add this web part to a page, on which he/she wants users to edit their Active Directory information. With SharePoint AD Self Service, the administrator can also set which kind of information is "Editable", "Read-Only" or "Invisible" to users. When a user logs in and enter this page, SharePoint AD Self Service web part will automatically identify current login user and domain, and retrieve his/her information from Active Directory to SharePoint Active Directory web part.
"BoostSolutions dedicates to providing customers with professional SharePoint solutions to best maximize their SharePoint investment. One of the biggest issues is that there are more and more users, whose personal information requires to be treated properly, in Active Directory. The administrator has to modify such data one by one in Active Directory by themselves which takes a great amount of time", said Xing Zhu, the CEO at BoostSolutions.
BoostSolutions’s SharePoint AD Self Service answers above issue by adding an Active Directory web part on SharePoint web page. After the administrator configures settings, the users can modify their own personal Active Directory information on SharePoint web page.
BoostSolutions's SharePoint AD Self Service is compatible with both MOSS 2007 and WSS 3.0, has cross-browser support and is multi-lingual.
SharePoint AD Self Service is now available for 30-days evaluation period and can be downloaded from: http://www.boostsolutions.com/software/ADSelfServiceSetup.zip
