<p>​One of the most common reason is that customer may have done some customizations of the External Content Type Operation&#160;names. Calendar Rollup will only recognize the name in defual, any customization will lead such issue.</p>
<p>The below example&#58; customer has changed the&#160;names of such External Content Type Operations, then just <span lang="EN-US" style="color&#58;#1f497d;font-family&#58;&quot;calibri&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;;font-size&#58;10.5pt;">Change &#160;“</span><span lang="EN-US" style="color&#58;#1f497d;font-family&#58;&quot;calibri&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;;font-size&#58;11pt;">Vw_EmployeePTORead List” back to “Read List”, and “Vw_EmployeePTOReadItem” back to “Read Item”. Then the issue will be fixed.</span></p>

<p><br/><b>Solution:</b> </br>

<p>​There are 5 possible reasons&#58;</p>
<p style="text-align&#58;justify;">&#160;</p>
<p style="text-align&#58;justify;">1.&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; Check if the Column/View Permission is deployed to the current web application (under <strong>Central Administration </strong>page -&gt; <strong>System Settings </strong>-&gt; <strong>Manage Farm Solutions</strong>)</p>
<p style="text-align&#58;justify;">&#160;</p>
<p style="text-align&#58;justify;">2.&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; Check if the Column/View Permission feature is activated in <strong>site collection features</strong> page in which the site collection the product will be used.</p>
<p style="text-align&#58;justify;">3.&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; Permission won&#8217;t take effect for&#160;<strong>Site Collection Admin</strong>, please make sure you log on SharePoint as a normal users (not Site Collection Admin).<br />&#160;</p>
<p style="text-align&#58;justify;">4.&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; Check if&#160;the <strong>&#8216;Site Actions&#8217; </strong>is hidden in your master page, or any customization has been made that affect the &#8216;Site Actions&#8217; button.</p>
<p style="text-align&#58;justify;">5.&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; The product does not work with compatible mode. For example, SharePoint 2010 with V3 mode, that means you work with SharePoint 2010, but the User Interface looks like SharePoint 2007. The same as the SharePoint 2013 with SharePoint 2010 User Interface. </p>

<p><b>Solution:</b></p>
<div class="ExternalClass54FDC3B90EFC4F4F80A550646BD8ADC2">
<p>​<strong>Cause:</strong>  SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure feature in the Site Collection feature and SharePoint Server Publishing in Manage site feature have been enabled. In this case, the product will recognizes the site as a publish site, the menu will be only shown under Edit mode.</p>
<p><strong>Solution:</strong>  Need to CHECK OUT the Calendar Rollup Web Part in Edit Page. Then the gear menu display correctly and &#8216;Add Calendar&#8217; option shows up.  Status: Checked out and editable.</p>

<p>3. In the resouce file, find the property&#58;</p>

<p>Please note that, for multiple language environment, the file name in Step 2 would be like <span style="color&#58;#4c8dcf;">SPB.SharePointBoost.PasswordReset.UI.de-DE.resx</span> or <span style="color&#58;#4c8dcf;">SPB.SharePointBoost.PasswordReset.UI.en-US.resx </span>, all the related language resx file need to be modified. Also, for multiple WFE server environment, same procedure should be done in each server.</p>

<li>Open&#160;the SharePoint bin directory&#58; <em>cd C&#58;\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\</em><strong><em>14</em></strong><em>\BIN </em>(<strong>12 </strong>refers to SP2007, <strong>14 </strong>refers to SP2010, <strong>15 </strong>refers to SP2013)</li>
<li>Unzip the product installation file(.zip), and copy the file with .wsp to the same directory as in step 1</li>
<li>Open the Command Line (Start -&gt;&#160; All Programs -&gt; Accessories -&gt; Command Prompt) and goes to the same directory as step1, or use powershell</li>
<li>Input the command line&#58; </li>
</ol>
