Holiday Offer from BoostSolutions
Holidays are upon us, hurray!
2011 has been a tough year, for all of us. We have been daunted by political turmoil in Middle East, financial crisis in EU, economic sluggishness in the USA and disasters in Japan, to name a few. Finally, we can turn our back to this year, and embrace a new and promising year. This is truly a great moment!
To celebrate this special time and show our appreciation to our customers, we have brought out a new promotion program to give you a big chance to enjoy our products with lower prices. Specifically, purchase one product and you will enjoy a 50% discount on a second purchase. It is a time-limited offer and only valid before 6th January 2012.
We know you may not care about prices as much as you do about product quality and services. Yet, this offer is much more about our appreciation for your support and your confidence in our products.
Cutting out all sorts of marketing crap, I would say this is a good opportunity to ask for more budget to buff up your SharePoint. “Why is that ?”, you may ask. Well, as far as I know, a lot of SharePoint administrators really want to buy products like SharePoint Password Change & Expiration, Password Reset, SharePoint AD Information Sync and what not. These products really help administrators to improve their productivity and allow them to focus on more important work.

Have you joined the anti-SOPA yet?
Google, Yahoo, Mozilla, Facebook, Twitter, Ebay, and the like have all stood up against the budded SOPA-Stop Online Privacy Act, a legislation that may jeopardize the internet according to the claim of these companies.
Stop Online Privacy Act (SOPA) is introduced to provide additional law enforcement tool to stop foreign “rogue” web sites dedicated to copyright infringement and counterfeiting. As you may know, copyright infringement is rampant with the development of internet. Traditional companies, especially traditional content providers are very upset about online copyright infringement. Quite a lot of law suits have been filed against internet players in the past couple years. This legislation is backed by the so-called content owners that are wary about their content being compromised through internet.
For big internet players (maybe for smaller ones as well), this legislation is a threat to their businesses. According to Stack Overflow cofounder Joel, this legislation may even threaten user-generated content sites like Stack Overflow. Below is his explanation:
“Currently, if someone posts copyrighted content on Stack Overflow, there is a well established legal procedure that prevents others to ask SO to remove it arbitrarily. If this proposed law passed, then SO needs to take more lengthy procedure to ensure only copyrighted content are taken off.”
SharePoint Calendar Rollup
SharePoint Calendar Rollup is a new product released a few months ago. This product brings all kinds of calendar items into one single calendar, on which users can color-code different events. SharePoint Calendar Rollup had a magnificent success in Microsoft SharePoint Conference 2011.
If you still have not given a shot to this product, then I highly recommend you do. SharePoint Calendar Rollup is a very cool product for those who use calendar frequently, be it Google Calendar or SharePoint Calendar. It easily aggregates calendars from SharePoint and Google into one calendar. In this way, you do not need to worry about missing appointments any more.
Due to its great initial success, we are about to improve its user experience in the next version to make it even easier and powerful. Please stay tuned!
