Here’s a scenario, what if a team member pulls an all-nighter and gets locked-out of a SharePoint system because she forgot to renew her password and unluckily it was the last day of password change. It would be a pickle to disturb the system administrator late at night or the IT guys.
So we’ve developed a web add-on to enable users to change their passwords by themselves without asking for administrator’s permission. What’s more, a notification would be sent to users who needed to change their passwords before the expire date.
SharePoint Password Change & Expiration 3.0 – help prevent password expiration by notifying users prior to password expiration. The logged in user can easily update his personal password by going through the main user menu in SharePoint decreasing the need of the system admin.
