​The flash file cannot be shown in SharePoint 2010.


Solution:

​SharePoint Central Administrator limits the accessing to some browser files due to security reasons. Please try the following 3 steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Go to Central Administration -> Application Management ->Manage Web Applications.
  2. Select General Settings for a specified web application
  3. Find Browser file handling, select Permissive. Normally the default value should be Strict.

​An error message occur when resetting password via email address:

"Failed to send confirmation link, please contact the administrator" 


Solution:

​Troubleshooting for this issue:

  1. Please make sure that the SMTP settings of Password Reset (not Password Change) has been configured correctly in the settings page. Because the product support only customized SMTP settings but not the SharePoint one.
  2. In Custom SMTP settings, selected ‘Default authentication’ type which is the windows authentication method. Change it to ‘Custom authentication’ may solve the issue.

Solution:

​There are 2 pre-requirements to using "Import Documents" feature in SharePoint 2013:

1.       The feature can only supports SharePoint 2013 server, not SharePoint 2013 Foundation.

2.       This feature can only supports IE which the Active X is enabled(please refer to http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ie/hh920753%28v=vs.85%29.aspx)
