Error in process of Prerequisite installation.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 6pt 0in; line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Segoe UI',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">When I run the Install Prerequisite, the \u201cThere was an error during installation.\u201d error appears as following.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 6pt 0in; line-height: normal;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.boostsolutions.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/SP2016-E-1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7048\" src=\"http:\/\/www.boostsolutions.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/SP2016-E-1.png\" alt=\"SP2016-E-1\" width=\"576\" height=\"466\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 6pt 0in; line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Segoe UI',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">This means I need to download and install the specified installers according to error message. Error \u201c<\/span><span style=\"color: red;\">This program can\u2019t start because api-ms-win-crt-heap-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer.<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201d occurs when running SharePoint Products Configuration Wizard.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 6pt 0in; line-height: normal;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.boostsolutions.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/SP2016-E-2.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7049\" src=\"http:\/\/www.boostsolutions.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/SP2016-E-2.png\" alt=\"SP2016-E-2\" width=\"475\" height=\"175\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 6pt 0in; line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Segoe UI',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">This issue is caused by missed update patches (Windows 10 Universal Runtime update) for Windows \u00a0Server 2012 R2. Download and install Windows Server 2012 R2 patch <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/download\/details.aspx?id=49091\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">KB299926<\/a><\/span> to resolve this issue. Unfortunately, another problem appears \u201cThe update is not applicable to your computer.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 6pt 0in; line-height: normal;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.boostsolutions.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/SP2016-E-3.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7050\" src=\"http:\/\/www.boostsolutions.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/SP2016-E-3.png\" alt=\"SP2016-E-3\" width=\"363\" height=\"169\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 6pt 0in; line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Segoe UI',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">OK, Windows 10 Universal C Runtime <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/download\/details.aspx?id=49091\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">KB2999226<\/a>, is dependent on a Windows Server 2012 R2 Cumulative Update package in KB2919355. So, check windows updates, select patch KB2919355 and install it. Then the issue will be resolved. Afterwards, install the Windows 10 Universal C Runtime.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 6pt 0in; line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Segoe UI',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">3. Products Configuration Wizard failed with following error \u201c<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Failed to create configuration database. An exception of type Microsoft.SharePoint.Upgrade.SPUpgradeException was thrown. Additional exception information: One or more types failed to load. Please refer to the upgrade log for more details<\/span>.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 6pt 0in; line-height: normal;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.boostsolutions.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/SP2016-E-4.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7051\" src=\"http:\/\/www.boostsolutions.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/SP2016-E-4.png\" alt=\"SP2016-E-4\" width=\"576\" height=\"497\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 6pt 0in; line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Segoe UI',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">That\u2019s because I download and install them manually instead of using the prerequisiteinstaller.exe when I encounter the prerequisites installation errors, it causes a different issue when attempting to create a farm through the Products Configuration Wizard.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 6pt 0in; line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Segoe UI',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Solution: Uninstall WcfDataServices and then reinstalling the WcfDataServices using the prequisiteinstaller.exe automatically or using command with the appropriate parameter.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 6pt 0in; line-height: normal;\"><em><span style=\"font-family: 'Segoe UI',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">prerequisiteinstaller.exe \/wcfdataservices56: WcfDataServices.exe location<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 6pt 0in; line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Segoe UI',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">After that, delete two databases from SQL Server which are created by previous psconfiguration, then run Products Configuration Wizard again, it will be successful.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 6pt 0in; line-height: normal;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When I install and deploy SharePoint 2016, I find a very useful blog which instructs the installation step by step. http:\/\/mstechtalk.com\/sharepoint-server-2016-installation-step-by-step But I still encounter some issues when install and deploy SharePoint 2016, and I will introduce how to solve them in this blog. 1.
