Troubleshooting SharePoint Outlook Integration 2.0 issues<\/div>\n

In a SharePoint & Outlook environment:<\/em><\/div>\n

User can synchronize a SharePoint library, contact list, task list, project task list and a certain type of SharePoint external list with Outlook. But this is only one way, SharePoint -> Outlook. BoostSolutions Outlook Integration provides Outlook -> SharePoint Integration.<\/div>\n

Below are some issues and troubleshooting tips for SharePoint and Outlook Integration.<\/div>\n

1. Unable to find Outlook Integration Add-in in Outlook<\/span><\/p>\n

Not able to find Outlook Integration after launching Outlook even if Outlook Integration is successfully.<\/div>\n

Solution:<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Go to Outlook File->Options->Add-Ins, make sure BoostSolutions Outlook Integration is active.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Note: If you are using Windows XP, make sure you have installed .net 2.0<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

2. While uploading mails in bulk, I always get “Fail to save local file” error after upload more than 200 files.<\/span><\/p>\n

Solution: Go to Outlook File-> Info->Account Settings; make sure check “Use Cached Exchange Mode”.<\/p>\n

3. When launching Oulook, I get “Outlook Data File not found” message<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Solution:<\/p>\n

Click OK to set Outlook Data file, then this message will not appear. If this message still appears, please go to File->Info->Account Settings->Data Files, check whether or not data file of “OutlookIntegration-BoostSolutions” is more than one. If so, you can delete them to recreate the data file after re-launch Outlook.<\/p>\n

If you delete Outlook Integration temp file in your client but not delete this data file in Outlook, then above message will still appear.<\/p>\n

4. Always show “Fail to connect server” in manage License window.<\/span><\/p>\n

Solution:<\/p>\n

Please make sure test connection successfully in General Settings;<\/p>\n

Please make sure set client data storage successfully in server;<\/p>\n

Please make sure set correctly user and password in client data storage of server;<\/p>\n

5. User wants to get more details for mails uploading failure.<\/span><\/p>\n

Solution:<\/p>\n

Go to Outlook Integration configuration file in local machine. E.g C:\\Users\\tester\\AppData\\Roaming\\BoostSolutions\\Outlook Integration; open config.dat file, add parameter Debug=”1″, then restart Outlook Integration.<\/p>\n
